Kelsey Farr, viola
Minnesota’s own Kelsey Farr has been playing the viola since the age of 8. She began her musical studies in the Eden Prairie String Academy, directed by Michelle Persian. Through high school, she became increasingly involved in Minnesota’s classical music scene, studying under Minnesota Orchestra’s Aaron Janse and Richard Marshall, as well as performing in Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies, Minnesota Youth Symphonies, and the All State Orchestra. After completing her bachelors degree in viola performance from the Eastman School of Music, Kelsey is currently working towards completing her masters degree there. She currently performs with the Rochester Philharmonic as a substitute violist.
